Swimsuit Prep for the Hips - It all begins with the Breath
Prepare your hips for swimsuits this summer with the Swimsuit Prep for the Core Series. In this series, you will get to work your hips in all different directions and build up incredible strength as well as endurance. The hips are a very important part of our body. They actually are the base of our stability in that our lower back or lumbar spine really require the hips and the glutes to be strong in order to support the entire spine. We need strong glutes not just for appearance sake, but even more for our health. Isn’t that a great reason to work out?
The series consists of five workouts.
The first one is a breathing workout called ‘It all Begins with the Breath’. This one talks about the pelvic floor and how we use it when we're breathing. It helps you understand how to breathe safely and well.
The second video in this series is called ‘Let’s Flow’ video. The flow video is all about motion and lengthening of the hips, getting the legs to rotate within the hip joint but keeping the hips themselves stable.
The third video in this series is our ‘Fast and Fierce HIIT’ workout. Our hiit workout is focused on the strengthening of the glutes. It is a fierce workout! But you will enjoy it and you'll get so much out of it as you build the strength of your glutes.
Our fourth workout is more for when you don't have time to do the full hiit. You can do the short ‘Quick Hips!’ for four concentrated minutes on the glutes.
And finally, those glutes are going to be sore. So you're going to want to do the restorative video called ‘Restore those Glutes’. This one will stretch and lengthen out and relax the glutes as well as the pelvic floor.
