Why offer an online studio rather than a brick and mortar studio?
As a mom with children in the house, I don’t have a lot of extra time to be traveling back and forth to the gym. So I love the convenience of working out with videos. In my online studio, I have prepared workouts that are fun to do and safe for the joints.
Am I a personal trainer?
Yes, I am. I am also trained as a health coach, nutrition coach, corrective exercise specialist, and yoga teacher.
What kinds of aches and pains am I referring to?
When talking about aches and pains, I’m talking about the annoying unexplained aches that happen in our daily lives. These could be knee pain after running, shoulder twinges while nursing a baby, or even pain during driving.
Am I a physical therapist?
No, I am not. PTs work directly with patients to heal acute or new injuries. I work with clients to change movement patterns and other environmental factors that can lead to ongoing aches and pains.
Do I work with recent injuries?
No, I work with clients that have been cleared by their doctors or physical therapists.
Do I refer out clients?
Yes, if after working together, the client and I believe that there may an underlying cause to their pain. Then I refer the client out and the client returns once they have been cleared by their practitioners.
At Santé Fitness, we focus on building core strength in two ways:
First , we use joint-safe movements to strengthen the body. We do it by utilizing a blend of core strengthening exercises from yoga, pilates, as well as standard western style exercises. You'll be amazed at the strength and mobility you can unleash when you start at your core!
Second, we focus on the mental and spiritual core. Much of our health is dictated by our emotional state. Simple things like poor posture and difficulty breathing often have an emotional component. So we work on helping your find your optimal performance state.
